About Chris

Hi I’m Chris and I am a photographer based in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia with a keen interest in landscape and travel photography.

Since early childhood, I have always been attracted to all things creative. From constantly looking at old family photos, to playing with my grandfather’s film and video cameras through to drawing, painting and film studies through my teenage years.

For many years I have had many opportunities to be involved with some form of exposure or study relating to creative industries. As much as I enjoy the many different areas the human creative mind has to offer, it wasn’t until my late 20s that my soul was drawn back in to the world of photography. I guess my younger self already knew what I was here to do!

I currently run my own property photography business, Visual Avenue which covers the real estate, accommodation and construction industries around Newcastle and the Hunter. It keeps me very busy for most of my time! You can find out more about Visual Avenue here.

This website was created to showcase the world through my eyes and a place to call home for the range of photo’s I have taken. I will have a blog in the near future to talk about a whole range of topics in the photography world where you can hopefully learn a thing or two for your own photography journey.

When I’m not out taking photo’s or working on my business, I enjoy a relaxed life around my family and friends and taking my dog Joey on long walks around Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. I’m also a huge astrology geek which has played a pivotal role guiding me on the journey I was born to live.
